Either method is perfectly acceptable. I personally use both depending on circumstances. Clutch in and in gear if expected to be under a minute or so. Clutch out and in neutral if expecting to be longer. I may even use both at one stop.
Would you prefer that or more clickbait discussion?

did either of you consider linking her to the 'how to have sex in the 86' thread so she can do some pre-date research?

At my age, with my increasingly creaky bones and lack of flexibility, I don't think I'd survive having sex in a BRZ (but at least I'd die smiling...).

(If there really is a thread on how to have sex in the '86 please post the link to it, I can't find it)

Improbable but not impossible.

Do you perhaps have data to confirm that it's possible?

(It's impossible for me with my creaky body)

Not with the Twins but if it can be done in a Karmann Ghia it can be done in any car!

Cars were smaller back in the day (also bigger in North America)

So if it was possible to do it in an old Austin Mini, anythings possible.
A real challenge is a BMW Isetta.

I can personally confirm the possibility in a Karmann Ghia (at least in the shape I was in back in the early 1980's).

But I think the K-G has a more spacious interior than the BRZ, at least in the front seat area. It's a rear-engine car so the floor is almost flat. It makes it (relatively) easy to have, um, access, between the front seats. T

The BRZ has the fairly tall transmission tunnel, so while it would be possible to reach across and touch, I wouldn't consider that "sex" (well, maybe at my age I might, but not by normal standards).

Ahh but the BRZ has seats that recline almost flat as opposed to the 5 degree incline of the Ghia.

There was plenty of room in a Mini. Same for the Isetta. It was also possible in a bug eyed Sprite in the middle of winter. Older brothers had a friend who drove one in high school. They called it "playing Santa Claus." I think you can figure it out.
