27.7 hours of Control.
I'm enjoying the fights; there are many ways of destroying enemies.
The map design is a bit of a labyrinth. I am getting lost a lot or I can't figure out where to go. There is quite a bit of revisiting places. I can't imagine ray tracing would do anything for the game. There isn't a whole lot of variation in visuals.
So far I'm giving it 6 & 1/2 out of 10.

I'm finishing up my Tom Clancy Retro play of Splinter Cell, but I'm still looking forward to Control.

That's my normal gaming purchase history. I rarely spend more than $20 on a game. In fact I'm just now playing AC/Odyssey even though that's one of my favorite series.

I did make an exception for MSFS though.

Boss fights are tedious, lots of dying. Mmmm.... I don't get the high scoring reviews.
But having said that the new line of Nvidia cards are looking mighty impressive. Could be time for a new card. I am looking forward to AMD's response.

Speaking of which, here's a bit of a conundrum for Nvidia.
Nvidia's new cards feature PCI-Express 4.0 but there is next to nothing from Intel that features 4.0 so to get maximum bandwidth you have to use an AMD chipset. That is, Nvidia is saying buy AMD motherboard but don't but their graphics cards.

Looking into the MSI Trident X. My current desktop is an Asus from 2016. I guess I need to get updated on the new graphics cards. As now there's the RTX 2080, RTX 2080Ti, and RTX 2080 SUPER O_o

According to userbenchmark, the only one of those cards that seems to make much of an improvement over my current GTX 1080 is the RTX 2080Ti. Still, something to ponder and save up for.

Wait for the 30xx Series, they're going to release this month.
The 3070 is faster then the 2080Ti and price is going to be around $499.

TBH, I'd probably go with the 3080 or 3090 so it's not like I'd wait for the 3070. The real waiting game is saving up as the way I wanted to spec out my PC was just over $3k lol
