I'm 49. Bought my MY14 86 GTS nearly two years ago from a dude who was 54. I'd been thinking about getting one for around 6 months after taking my nephews 86 for a spin - most of that time was spent working out how to ask my wife if I could buy one.
Plucked up the courage and to my surprise the response was "cool, what colour is it going to be". I was worried I was going to get the most dangerous response known to married men "do whatever you want". at first I was going to be all noble and leave it stock but after fixing a few things that annoyed me I have gone mongrel on it and done a lot of suspension work, gearbox and clutch springs, headunit, headers and a tune. pretty happy with it now and will add a set of new wheels once I wear out the current set of tyres. this car is the best thing I have ever done for myself. i intend to be buried with it. just looking at it puts a smile on my face. just magic to drive. age is just a number. my wife is 34 and I have a 7 year old son, they keep me young!! |

If he would have said "born in nineteen hundred and aught" something, that would have made him an old timer. I'm similarly aged as Roge and like the term "mature adult" myself. |
