Oh, OK, I missed the engine knocking part.
Well, that situation just sucks! I'm afraid you are just screwed. Sorry. |

Its just worth getting an LKQ engine and having an independent shop put it in. Youll save alot of money.

In my fight with my dealership, it took almost 200 e-mails, and 50+ phone calls, 20+ in person meetings and surprise ( unannounced) visits from me, and over 6 months to get something to happens in my favor ( and it wasn't, since they put a used engine in that threw its timing chain eventually)
Most of my phone calls were with corporate Toyota. most of the time, the answer I'd get is "Well we're waiting for so and so" and I'd say " please document in my ticket that I called today asking for a status update and let them know that I have confirmed that this issue is due to poor workmanship" With my first engine, the tech was quick to remove all debris so nobody could see. With the second one, the manager didn't give the techs a chance and was there when they took everything apart to see it plugged with RTV. Take photos of everything, be pushy and ask to see it. It is your car after all. |
