i see some styling cues from the original FT86 concept.

triangle headlights
fender humps are gone
beltline, fender, and hood are all pretty flush
taillights cut deeper into the side of the 3/4 panel
sloppy rear butt/plate on rear bumper

I wonder if the line going across the back will be a carryover line from the tail lights or if it will be functional.

The hood still looks low, so it most likely is a flat engine. The curves of the front and rear fender aren't as pronounced, so that is bad. Overall, it isn't terrible.

the line that connects the taillights is weird

if it had something to run parallel with it like the license plate then id understand that.

but i feel like you're better off getting rid of it entirely

can make the third brakelight the emblem like on the vipers

just feel like it's an unnecessary accent piece american cars usually throw on there for no reason:

i mean did you have to give the taillights angry chrome eyebrows?

I agree the mirror looks moved/a different shape. Window lines just don't seem that different to me

I definitely agree. There was a silver gen 2 render (diff from bestcar) that I remember looking pretty close too but I can't seem to find it. Seemed to match up pretty nicely with that sketch someone made in here.

The hips and curves certainly seem less pronounced.

These rear bars are popular right now. Here are two on a Civic and Lexus.

I'm pretty sure the rear bar will be functional as a brake and nighttime light, but who knows. I am also happy they moved the rear flying saucer third brake light to the rear deck lid. The Subaru/Toyota emblem appears to be below the light bar and above it is either a rear camera or the trunk key lock, which doesn't have a place to hide under a lip like on the Gen 1.

As you can see, they messed up the render by moving the Toyota badge and license plate up.

The FA20 is high revving, relative to most engines today. And for the most part it’s proven to be a reliable motor.
Sorry to hear about your car though.
