The next VCMC event is July 28th and I will be attending. It's going to be my first VCMC event and I think they're going to be recording points. So this is the one I really want to do well in.

This weekend is just going to be a test and tune for my new Dunlop Star Specs. Make sure you come find me at the VCMC event if you attend. I'm sure you can't miss me in my Blue FR-S.

Haha, I had friends at Aria help out since it required removing the tires and drilling. =p But thanks! I don't supposed you're the owner of the white FR-S that I spoke to when I picked up the mudflaps, are you?

Shift Automotive would be the best bet.

The reason why is because they are working on Richards FR-S for the Scion Tuner Challange. Can you think of anyone who would be better?

I sure can't. I know they have his car in peices right now working on it for the tuner challange. If I do any mods, thats who I'm going to bring it too.

On a side note, check out my tires I just picked up last friday. I ran them at the BC Corvette club Autocross and came 2nd over all on Street Tires. Only a 2005 WRX STI beat me. I managed to run faster then quite a few Vettes including a C5 Corvette with 5.8L engine and Michelan Polit Sports. I beat the Vette's by 4 seconds.

Good News!!!

Good news everyone!

I just got word back from Scion. They have now sponsered me though their contingency program! I'm now going to be paid for Autocrossing my FR-S depending on where I place in class!

They are sending me decals to apply to my car today via Fedex. My first offical event flying the Scion colours will be the local VCMC event happening on July 28th!!

I can't believe it! I really want to win my class now. If I come in first, that's 500 bucks in my pocket right there!

This really made my day. I can't believe I'm actually sponsered by Scion.

I picked up my black FRS about two weeks ago, and cannot wait until I break the 1600km mark so I can play in the above 4000rpm zone. Have not seen any on the road. Tons of people comment on it. I was at White Rock beach today and heard a lot of comments and a few people even pointed. Nice to know we have a "limited" car --- not a car that is a dime a dozen.

Are there any Scion car clubs where people meet? I've never been a part of a club so I know nothing about this.

Thanks for the kind words guys. My first offical race event is this coming saturday. I really can't wait for this. I'm both nervous and excited at the sametime. But since I did well against the Corvette Club, the nerves are being calmed by confidence.

I'll post some photos (hopefully some video too) of my day out at VCMC. I'll link you guys to the post when its done.

There is quite a few of us on here who have met. Obviously Donn up above remembers me from the Regency Toyota Launch Party they had. A lot of us got to meet on here. Mr.Jay and I talk all the time and I gave a bit of a manual lesson to Ikaros also a few weeks ago.

I think I scared the crap out of him also. I took the TCS and STM off in the parking lot while we were learning and got the car a little sideways.

If you guys want to have a meet, we can do so if you wish. Lord knows I'd like to go karting again as Jason was the only person who showed up (and he was pretty late)!

Yes it is! The only problem with breakfast is that it will need to be super early. I have to be at the pad by 8am for tech inspection. Lunch would probably be better but I cannot confirm the time due to the event schedule. Lunch is always after the first batch of runs, but the time varies.

If you guys want to come and meet me at the pad, your more then welcome. There should be a bunch of cars from VCMC racing and spectators are welcome. If you bring a helmet (or can borrow one) then you can go for some ride a longs.

I will be there with my Scion badges on! I have to pick them up today.

Ben
