Omg! It has a flat boot when the back seats are down!
Yeah, that's significant to me.

It looks an interesting car to me, but I cannot justify selling my BRZ. However, I would prefer to wait for the 2nd manufacturing year to place an order. Engine and other parts are entirely new and don't want to be the first time tester.

They need to ditch the rear seats, stick in a rollcage to really get the rally vibe going..

The sales guy thinks it's being released on the 18th of this month; he is having a sales brief on the 15th.

Having said that I think there is more fantasy than reality happening at my end.
Small fun pocket rocket? Yes, definitely but it is also turboed and awd which are 2 things (on paper) I usually hold against a car.
I hope Toyota Australia will have a day at the local track. I would gladly pay some money for a decent drive.

Not necessarily a bad thing being an awd. At least in real world situations with not so perfect road pavements and weather conditions far from a normal sunshine. On the engine side it would be nice to know how much turbo lag it has. The 3cyl 1.6 should be pretty much dead before the spool.

I know intellectually it costs money to have a large choice of colours and your colour choice doesn't make you go any faster but I am disappointed by the colour options. According to the Toyota Italy website there is a choice of white, black and red. That's it.

Admittedly they aren't just any boring colour names. One has Emotional Red, Super White and Precious Black.
I hate marketing wank.

Nah, I don't pay a lot attention to the colour of my cars which sounds contradictory I know.

Let me try this again.
I am disappointed by the lack of colour options but I don't really care.
It's just that I notice the lack of variety of colour when I look at cars in a car park. 95% are either white, silver, grey or black.

In some countries certain colours get preferential insurance rates so you see more whites, silvers etc. As for colour options, I work with what's on the list... But saying that I did go for a particular "silver" when I ordered my Caterham.

I think the Yaris works in Black and the standard White, I don't like the Red or the Ceramic white.

Are you sure about the red?

Yep, absolutely. Black or Solid White. Funny observation, in most of the videos the presenters expresses surprise that the hood weighs so little.. what are they expecting, it's a small hood... note, I did not use the correct name for the hood...

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I do agree, that color options given by manufacturers these days is very limited. Fortunately for me, I do like white, as long as it's a pearl white.

Would be nice to see more colors like the nitro yellow they offer on the A90 Supra.

The steel hoods on my both my previous Yarii (sedan and hatch) were stupid light. But like you said, they were very small hoods.
