I apologize in advance, as I'm not too knowledgeable with cars just yet. So forgive me if I leave out crucial information on this issue. But im having a problem in passing my smog for my 2013 BRZ limited. I've taken it like 3 times, and every time I take it to get the smog. They connect the OBD2 and it loses connection with the control module they tell me. And it keeps failing over that. The code it reads is U0155. And after all my lights flash on my dashboard. I've heard the ECU might not work well. I've heard that the dealer has to do an update on my ECU. But I've brought it up to my local subaru dealer and they dont even consider it. Im not sure what to do. I just got the car, and among this pandemic, all I really want is to be able to register it haha. If anybody has some knowledge or perhaps a lead on this. I'd deeply appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

From the interwebs:
"Code U0155 is typically caused by one of the following:

Thanks! I tried changing the battery. And whenever I go back to get the smog. It still reads that code on their OBDII. And just seems lock all my dashboard lights for a few miles. Ill look into the CAN Bus. Because I cant get my tags until I pass that smog.

Does it read this code on other OBDII tools?
If no; a: the testing center has an issue with their OBDII reader b: The OBDII port in your car has a loose pin, use an OBDII extender cable https://www.amazon.com/s?k=obdii+ext...nb_sb_ss_i_7_6 If yes; You have a problem in the CANbus, likely a loose pin/broken wire in a harness connector somewhere.
