Fluidampr or ATI if boosted, otherwise stock if NA.
With all the cost cutting this car has i do not know why they would spend money to use a more expensive dampener if it was not needed or served no purpose to dampen.
also LW pulley is like removing 1lbs from a 1000lbs stone, is it technically lighter? yes. But will it make a noticeable difference? Not at all. That combined with the potential risk of losing the dampening from oem pulley. I do not think it is worth the risk/money for a potential .1% of a gain.

4lbs off the crank is pretty huge. Paired with a future lightweight flywheel with an additional 9-10lbs removed is another huge improvement. Funny but some folks in the car world will buy TI retainers, ti valves, knifing the crank to save grams and minor gains but can over look lbs being taking off with swapping crank pulley, flywheel & driveshaft rotating weight loss.

If you're hardcore going for everything you will notice lbs being taking off the rotating assembly. If you are obeying speed limits and never going wot then don't bother..

This has been discussed about 8000 times and the actual physics have been calculated etc..

The difference losing 4 lbs on a crank pulley is basically nothing, 12 lbs reduction on a driveshaft (purely from a rotational standpoint not including overall static weight loss) is about 1/4th HP and crank pulley is about 1/8 HP averaged out over 1-5th gears. With both obviously having peak/higher benefit in 1st gear and diminishing more and more in higher gears. This is a bit simplified but accurate enough to realize what the benefit is or inst.

You might almost notice it in 1st gear. Beyond that you would never even know. by the time you get to 5th gear you should just spit once out the window to have the same benefit.

This also doesn't calculate or factor in the possible harmonic drag/friction added when removing the dampener (see fluidampr studies) which could all but nullify any benefit or even have a greater loss than the original benefit.

Each engine is different, but there are literally millions of miles on EJ motors with lightweight pulleys and no issues. I have had one for 100k, still going strong. Only benefit I felt was faster throttle response. Got used to it quick, plus it was so long ago.

I put one on the BRZ, no difference. Seriously doubt it will do any harm.

Subaru engines never run smooth, the FA is a little better than the EJ. If that fluid amp one was not so expensive I would try it out, just to see if it smooths the engine out.

Here’s the lightweight pulley I use....as a paperweight.

Don't waste your money on a LW pulley.

IN order to add power:

Yeah I’m actually getting it to help with the RPM drop at idle. I don’t know if any of you all have this issue, but I read that a lightweight crank pulley would help with this. Plus I heard it has some benefits for heel toe.

Nope, tuning issue if something is wrong with idle. If it helps its a bandaid not a fix.

It can ever so very slightly let the rpms drop faster with the clutch pressed in if you let of the throttle because of slightly less inertia.

Tune it first. See what happens

i'd say in a bit other words.
lightweight pulleys = slight but extra stress on engines and crank bearings for little to no performance gains except throttle response at cost of less convenient DD use, yet due relatively low cost & ease of manufacturing & install often overrated and fanatically believed in .. not recommended
turbos & superchargers = extra stress but for noticeable and large actual performance gains justifying that .. recommended

Lol. Funny that people think FI doesn't put any stress to the engine.
