P0018 and jumped timing?

Runnemede in Jersey. I moved to Philly in September, so I have no idea which dealership has the best reputation. They're listed as a Scion dealership, so I was hoping they might have some familiarity with the car compared to dealerships who aren't.

Today I called corporate - they officially opened a case and they're supposed to call me back tomorrow. They also said something about looking into the dealership's repair notes, but couldn't find anything? That seems unusual but I'm not sure how it works at that level.

You made a slightly bad choice going over into new jersey for a dealership also they aren't well liked on yelp especially with their service:

If you can try and go to Ardmore Toyota from now on, or Faulkner Toyota, or Team Toyota in Feasterville and Bensalem. Those dealers are way more friendly with mods and their techs are more car people, I've dealt with the latter two, and the Ardmore one has good reviews

I have one good article for whom, who can think about timing chain fault ... An engine sending a signals usually, so if you interested - this post can help you to have an overall understanding what can cause a timing chain breakage..
As was mentioned above - yes, BRZ engine is interference, what means that improper chain lubrication, factory defect or excessive chain wear can seriously damage this engine!
