TRD 86 question
The black TRD 86...the springs that come on that car, are they the same as the ones you buy as a separate TRD accessory? Looking to pick a set up for my 2013 frs. Will it fit?

So the TRD accessory ones are different than the one in the TRD 86? That’s interesting

The TRD Springs Accessory are pretty much rebranded Eibach Pro-Kit which drops the vehicle 1" F/R and stiffer spring rate than your 2013 OE and 2017 n up OE springs. The 2017 n up Toyota 86 OE Springs have different spring rates than your 2016 n below FR-S OE Springs. I feel the 2017 n up springs are more comfortable on than the 2016 n below springs. The Scion FRS RS 1.0 AKA Yellow TRD, does have the TRD Accessory Lowering Springs on OE FRS Shocks.

Honestly I love the car. Just wished it came with at least the TRD lowering springs. That fender gap drove me nuts. I had to buy lowering springs anyways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not confusing at all.
The TRD car has some TRD parts but there are loads of other ones as well. The TRD lowering springs are different (as Pinoy so perfectly described) because they are TRD catalog parts. The TRD exhuast that comes on the cars is different than the catalog one as well.

There was a local '19 SE that was available earlier this year in Feb for a killer price which now i still *kinda* regret not pulling the trigger on. The only reason why I didn't jump on that one was it came with the optional springs installed and the dealership told me they didn't have the originals that I could swap back. (that and i wanted a red one) Quote:
