Best Rated Mattress Toppers Cleaning Guide: FAQ

Best Rated Mattress Toppers Cleaning Guide: FAQ

Nothing else can rejuvenate your body than a good night’s sleep. That is the reason why it is so important to invest heavily in a good bed and mattress. After all, they are the most important factors contributing to your sleep’s quality.

But you really don’t need to throw out your current mattress and buy an expensive new one. highest rated mattress topper made from memory foam will do the job just fine. They go on top of your old mattress and will provide you with the same degree of comfort as a new mattress. If you have a high-quality topper, the comfortability and ventilation you can get might even be better than commercial mattresses.

Ideally, your topper should give your body plenty of support, relief pressure points on your body to reduce aches and pain as well as ventilating your body heat in the night.

But no matter how great the construction or the quality of your mattress is, the topper will become dirty after a period of use. But memory foam is a very sensitive material that, if not cleaned correctly, can be completely ruined.

When Do I Clean My Topper

Mattress toppers are usually very resilient and can last a long time without being too dirty. But when you start to notice stains on the topper, strange odours, or even allergic reactions that result in itchiness, unusual bites, and rashes on your skin then you know it’s time for a cleanup.

Can It Be Machine-Washed?

There is something as the owner of a memory foam mattress topper that you should know, though: memory foam cannot be machine washed.

The foam is extremely sensitive and the moment it is subjected to the harsh cleaning treatment of a washing machine, it will be instantly ruined. We have seen a lot of unfortunate cases where the foam came out of the wash all distorted and soggy. If you were to reach this point, there would be no going back, you will have to buy a new one.

That’s why it is so crucial that you know exactly how to clean your memory foam topper: one wrong move and your expensive, best topper for bed might have to end up in the trash before it is due.

What Chemicals Can I Use to Clean My Memory Foam Topper?

You must also know what tool and what chemical will work for cleaning and what cannot. For example, we have seen a lot of reports of people using Hydrogen Peroxide to clean their topper. Not only did it not help with the stains, but the chemical also ruined the natural colour of the topper and created even more stains than before.

We only recommend having three basic chemicals in your top mattress toppers cleaning kit: white vinegar, baking soda, and washing detergent. They are easy to find and, unlike Hydrogen Peroxide or such strong materials, they are not as caustic and won’t damage the material foam mattress toppers.

Can I Use A Dryer to Dry Off My Memory Foam After It’s Cleaned?

Considering how sensitive memory foam is, it is completely understandable that you would be worried about your dryer possibly ruining your topper. Fortunately, we have it on good authority that it is okay to use a dryer to quicken a good mattress topper drying rate.

Exercise caution, though. Make sure that the dryer is set to low temperature and avoid bringing the dryer too close to the sleep surface. What you want to do while using a dryer with your topper is to put adequate heat but not overheat it.

Conclusion

With all that said, we hope that this info has helped somewhat with boosting your confidence while cleaning your topper. It may sound as if it is difficult, but overall, if you know what to do, it turns out to be really simple!

They are different here.

If only there was a place somebody could go and look at the differences.

In the US, the 2020 GT model does have the push to start, the upgraded dash and A/C controls. It has heated seats as well. The TRD handling package adds upgraded brakes, Sachs dampers, and 18" wheels and Pilot Sport 4 tires.

The Hakone is a GT, but the TRD package is not available on it.

The TRD package is also available on the basic 86, but costs more due to the basic 86 not having things already included on the GT (underbody panels, etc.)

Unlike 2019, there is NO GTS package. A GT w/TRD = GTS.

I believe the 86 GTS model is only available in some countries where they have the steering wheel incorrectly, on the wrong side of the car.

In the USA we have three choices for the 2020 model: 86----------------86GT-------------86Hakone Edition

The 86 model has a key for ignition start. The other upper models have the 'smart key' and push to start button.
