AutoZone carries it...
Why don't you try it?
I can't see it making any difference because it doesn't contain a lubricant. but who knows?
We do know a smaller amount of high grade 2T will stop the noise.

Will this be a FRS only fix or will it apply to the BRZ as well?

I have the crickets. Filled up with ethanol-free fuel to see if it will help.

I can't make any statement on the brz. But Toyota is aware of the issue. to the point that I came in yesterday and they told me I needed a new fuel pump and would have one ready this week no questions asked. Maybe some of the other d4s cars have done the same thing.

I wonder if the new FR-S's being sold from now on will automatically have this issue already fixed (i.e.: the fuel pump will already be fitted with the new and improved one). I am expected to take delivery on my new FR-S the first week in August. Should I go for it or pass on it and wait another month? I'm inclined to just get it cause I'm dying to get it. But, I will be kinda bummed if it gets chirpy.

Did they say the new fuel pump is a modified version engineered to cope with ethanol or is it the same spec pump again because they think yours is faulty?

I'm still trying to see the pattern of it with mine. Finally heard it at about 250 miles the first time, and after another 500 miles (pretty much all in a long drive to visit family on Saturday), again yesterday...but only once. Very weird.

Hey guys I'm at about 1100 miles now and I haven't heard the noise since 200 miles. Still using 93 gas.

Please keep us posted and, like sierra said, try to find out if the new pump is any different from the old pump.
