IFR certified but you wouldn't want to fly it in actual IFR conditions. Good for an IFR trainer. Other details at the link mentioned above.

At least in light aircraft the boxer is actually advantageous. ![]() I visited the Pima Air & Space museum twice in the past few years and built model airplanes as a kid. So, I can appreciate that dream. Worth trading a few pinball machines for.

I started to watch the trailer, got about half way and had to stop. It occurred to me that this is the situation for some people but I found it too confronting to watch the trailer all the way through. Which is strange because I really enjoyed the movie "Her".

Too bad we don't live closer to each other.. would love to check out your plane. Looks like a great bird, especially for your "mission."

Not surprised, it's a rare bird, only about 300 of them built, probably less than that flying now. The designer, Christopher Heintz, is big in the experimental world. He designs simple planes that fly well. He originally designed Avion Robins certified aircraft in Europe (I flew one if his designs there once when visiting England).
This one was his attempt to get into the training market, and was built in South Georgia. Unfortunately, it just never sold enough to maintain the business model. Aircraft are just too damn expensive for a "start up". I've been thinking about getting something with a little more empty weight and a little more speed so we can use if for some Mom and DadHawk travel now that the kids are out of the house but right now I'm really happy with this one.

I enjoy my small collection of vintage Cox gas powered toy cars. Also have a few Choppers in a box somewhere.
