I planted 8 tomato plants, which is complete overkill, since I'm the only one in the family that eats them.
So I get a box from QVC yesterday. My mother spends way too much time on QVC. Six more tomato plants. I hope the neighbors like tomatoes. I think my mom needs a buying intervention. |

i don't do quick-change places. the whole point of bringing it to a place like that is for them to assume the liability and responsibility of doing it right, and there's too many stories of them just canning the person that makes the mistake, or just outright disregarding their own mistakes. they get paid minimum wage to perform a simple task. i've learned a long time ago, if people get paid a minimum wage, expect a minimum result. the places foster a lack of care and respect, and focus on raw throughput instead of customer service. it's not a concept i can support.
on my risk/reward scale, $400 for the remote filter setup is cheaper than dealing with the potential problems quick change places present. Quote:

Back to this are we? Why do people think that techs only know the brand they currently work on? The whole idea they are confused by other brands is totally ludicrous. Many of them jump from brand to brand all the time. It isn't like they are born to one brand and that is all they ever know. Advanced training is all good but is meaningless if that person doesn't care about what he is doing. The training doesn't make them want to be a better tech they get the training because they actually care about what they are doing. The cause and effect are reversed from what you are saying

Motors come packaged differently but operate on the same principles. All they had to do was be more careful with the gasket sealer.
