Sure the lower prices look great but the wages were at about the same level so in the long run it is a wash.
Great to sit here and say "Oh those cars were half what they cost now" when the average income was only 40% of what it is now. You know what I mean better than many.
Shush, keep that yourself, or nobody will read any more of my "poor farm boy" back-in-the-day stories.

Oh yes, I remember working at hard labor for $1.00 per hour, cigarettes were $.25 a pack, cokes were .05 cents a bottle, gas was .24 cents a gallon. My real first full time job paid a base pay of $216 per month.

DAMN - that made me tired - it's past time fer ma nap.

Anyone know where I can buy mini-b cable? More specific, I need 8ft left angle mini-b to mini-b cable. I’m trying to look high & low, but my google-fu sucks today

Granddaughter's birthday dinner. Taught all the kids the helium trick with leftover balloons. Good times.

Miata was eight and some change on Guam when they first came out.

In the bay area dealers were marking them up 40 to 50% when they first came out, and idiots were buying them at that price.

Cheap compared to the big name sports cars maybe but not cheap compared to the average.
Average price of full size car in 2019: $35,250
Cost of 2019 Miata: $26,500

I remember soon after I tried to sit in one, discovering how much mainland dealers were marking them up. Insult to injury. I have never been more disgusted at being too tall than I was at that very moment.
