hello everyone new member here

hello everyone, i am new member checking in.

I own 2013 SCION FR-S ARGENTO A/T

i put less miles this car as of march 2020, it only have 41k i drive this occasionally as like i baby this car. lol
for work, i have daily 2005 scion tc 145k miles and still good

i recently paid off from finance the FRS so i started buying parts like..
COILOVERS (tanabe revel)
WHEELS (AVID1 AV26 BRONZE 17X9 +40)
TIRES 245/40/17 (just install with wheels drove it for just 15 miles and my engine stall)
and some interior/exterior cosmetics like carbon fiber dash, armrest, HIDs/LEDs

as of now, my car is down because the engine stall on me almost got into accidents because it happen in the middle of traffic and i blame the recall and toyota dealer that install it.

so far im in situation where im on complain case with toyota corporate because of the expenses that will cost of this issue. they keep saying that im out of warranty on august 2018 but the letter from recall happen december 2018 and perform the recall for a month on january 2019

i dont know what to do because im on 600$ish charge for diagnostic and to open up the engine to investigate by toyota corp with dealers, dealer mention short block problems but they will check more on problems. i really dont want to pay any money on this. as i am not responsible for this engine breaking down.

my engine is full OEM bone stock since i bought it from 2013 never had any mods to it. i cannot believe after 41k barely breaking in the engine and it stall and gave up. sometimes i am jealous when i see FRS BRZ 86 on the road hoping i was the same driving it.

updates will come after all this bad experience

thank you for stopping by. advise, comments, opinions are welcome

How many miles after the recall work was done?
I would use that and the fact that Toyota mechanics have been known to screw up the re-sealing gasket. It's been so much that Toyota themselves have issued proper step-by-step instructions or re-training their mechanics.

Do a search you'll find a handful of similar experiences on this site.
Good luck, I hope they fix your car.

adding more pics.. TOYOTA CORP and my CAR DEALER helps me to fix my car with no cost on my pocket as they investigated clearly that it is not my fault causing my car 41k miles to stall and rod bearing problem as right now i got my car back and enjoying it..

Man, i really wished they kept the zenki style front bumper on the kouki models. Would it be a direct swap without the need to change out the lights or anything else? Love the look of the old style front

Pretty sure the part itself is a direct replacement. However:
-it consists of lots of small bits & pieces - buying the full set used might be a better idea
-Some wiring would be in order as the harness on the phase 2 cars has the blinkers going to the headlights

Now I just spent the last 2 minutes scrolling thru the pics wondering...why the hell would these pics make him think of the song "Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer"?
