I mean... my lot is decent, regardless. Sometimes it still feels like it's horrible. Comparatively. My sister's main gig is her Iirish band. Everything shut down right before St. Patty's day (about 1/3 of their annual income). Her side gigs are also shut down (medical and cook on a university dive boat; keeping the shop running at a massage place... ) Massage place is my dad's, and the rules may make it impossible for them to continue doing business.

Who knows. There's gotta be someone interested in marketing experience and good results... I suspect age is an issue (and, uh... while we're not young, we're not old either - where I work, I swear the rule is early 20's and pretty, and that's all it takes...). But, the economy hasn't been as good as claimed, either. It's tough though. And a stop-gap only hurts. "why did you get a job that wasn't marketing?". She did qualify for a set of classes on the latest & greatest at the local Uni, nearly done with that. So it's not all lost time. But still sucks. Will we have another 9k for the 2nd property tax installment? Yes... but only because we're both very frugal and have saved carefully just in case... (we do not escrow)

They (work) won't do that. That's what the automated systems are for. I believe the loan officer was able to file some paperwork to use my last pay stub. We've got clear to close, just waiting on this stupidity. Extra interesting given only one of us working, but LTV is <50% before we pay any extra, credit scores are... well, they surprise people who anticipate good credit when estimating rates. And soon as we get through, the old monthly mortgage amount will effectively be the mortgage + property tax amount.

I can't get up there. It's well over 25 feet up. Well past my 'pay someone else' limit (also, I don't have an appropriately tall ladder). Given how the wind out here goes and the height differences and the locations of the only trees, the neighbors gutters should pick up at least as much. But I know, maybe not. Or maybe it's a bird tried to nest there. Or a hawk lost a carcass down the spout. Or... whatever.

Oh, no. They made compare and contrast comments. I mean, I do have work to do... some trim needs to be replaced, and one of the two gates (one each side) is nearly rotted out. untreated plywood/2by, so no surprise. It's just... kinda sad to hear too. Neighbor has all brick facade, ours was a slightly cheaper build (builder's special, same floor plan, both cheap as heck) so in some ways more work. The front steps/'porch' were replaced before we moved in, rotting so badly then (~10 years after the home was built). Also, I like to feel like I'm in the wilderness as much as possible, even in the city (classic 25' x 125' Chicago lot). So my yard preferences aren't always... common. We'll plant sunflowers soon. Maybe a couple tomato plants.

I have my great-great-great grandfather's, American civil war. Though it was a weird piece... Sharps carbine. Drop breach? something like that. Not necessarily muzzle load, but between that and when they actually had like 5 or 6 shots in the stock. You could flip the trigger guard to drop the breach and put a shot in. I honestly don't ever want to see another war though, certainly not a big one. And not with muzzle loaders. The odds are NOT in your favor.
