I am fully aware that it is never going to happen but hypothetically doubling or tripling the volume and sales by making it the Nissan Z and opening up the NA market would probably mean the price would come down considerably. It might even sell for around what the Supra sells for which at one time was the direct competitor for the Datsun and Nissan Z cars.

If the A110 came here I'd imagine it would match the Cayman price (I'm led to believe it competes with in $$$), which is the Supras price~?

300ZX was pretty pricey, right in line with the mk4 Poopra.

Mass producing the A110 could make it more affordable but it would have very little in common with anything that preceded it in the Z line so that makes it even more unlikely that Nissan would rebadge it as a Z successor. Too bad though, by all accounts, it is a sweet little sports car.

I hope if they release something that is geared more towards the simple car market. Nissan has played the fat heavy oversteer card for so long, it's time to go back to something light. I understand this isn't in their reach but damn. I used to love Nissan in the 90s, now every time I ride in one ( my wife's car is an 09 Sentra, my in-law's car is a 13 sentra) they just make me want to vomit. Please Nissan, un-shit yourself. We're waiting
Maybe it's that I can't let the 90s go? I don't know how Toyota even got away with making such a simple car in 2013. |

The pedigree of the Z has been a mid-weight 2 or 2+2 GT car, so I don’t see them downsizing. The Z is also well priced for what you get for $31k, so a more expensive 400z with a 3.0TT engine under $40k is still a bargain. 1999 Nissan 240Z Concept Quote:

I find it interesting how few 350 and 370 I've seen at the track. I can't remember a single one, actually. There was a modded 240 or 280. I don't remember any 300 series either. Lots of hard parkers drive them, though. And the G35/G37 coupes.

The Cayman technically starts at like $58,000, but a realistically equipped one is more like $68-70,000. They charge $2,500 for leather interior in a 60k car, lol. |

I've owned 3 Infiniti G coupes, 2004 G35, 2008 and 2012 G37, all 6 speed manuals. The G37 was a wonderful car, fast enough to be fun yet refined and comfortable enough to be 'near luxury' and available with a manual transmission. One of my biggest automotive mistakes was selling my last G37 coupe, the 2012, to buy a 2015 Mustang GT. BIG mistake. I foolishly thought the G coupe would always be available and I could always 'go back'. Not so much. The current Q60 is nothing like the previous generation G37. Soft, flabby, heavy, turbocharged instead of the immediacy and linear response of the old naturally aspirated engine, too much unnecessary electronic tech, and worst of all, no manual transmission. In the face of that, the door handles on the 370Z didn't look so bad (and I was planning on painting them to match the body). It was a close call between the 370Z and the BRZ. If it wasn't for the disgusting sleaziness of most Nissan dealers, I may well have bought one instead of the BRZ. |

I probably would have bought a 370Z/G35/7 as well if it wasn't for the BRZ.

It never went into production. They produced several concept cars but it never saw an assembly line, at least to my knowledge.
