In the poster above the title of the movie is "The Money Pit". It is a name. That is, a noun.
So when referring to this movie should one say "the The Money Pit"?

As a rule of thumb if you could pull the name out and replace it with another title and need "the" to be correct then yes. I was trying to think of a sentence where I would need to use "the" in front of the title of a movie, but couldn't think of one I'd use in real life.

For example

"I went to see "The Money Pit" could be I went to see "Terminator".

I suppose if you said "I bought the "Terminator" box set". You should say " I bought the "The Money Pit" box set"

Most people would not however, and truly no one would notice.

"The Money Pit" is a film about the Arabian guy in the post 'Money Shower' running off with the singer..
