Back on subject, I treated my sweet pea to a special Sunday lunch.

I ventured out into the wasteland and brought back from Burger King, an impossible whooper burger for her and a regular whopper burger for me. All for $6 plus tax.

Yep, I know how to treat my woman -

if it's so easy to get, what makes it impossible?

Cause, first off, it's practically impossible to get mrs humfrz to eat anything from a fast food burger place. Second off, they made a beef looking patty out of stuff that ain't meat -

Get yourself some wax paper and generic paper pags. Hide it in the car. Go out and buy whatever fast food. Wrap it in wax paper and put in paper bag. Tell her it came from "some new little family owned place down the street." FYI won't work with taco bell.

I went for a run this evening and was thinking about all the PPE garbage I was seeing on the streets and sidewalks. I then realized, yeah, we deserve this pandemic.

COVID Activity Weekend Edition

One of my two sons who is home and temporarily unemployed due to COVID was having an issue with the WIFI in his room. He and his friends have been having regular virtual meet-ups. They never had computers or TVs in their bedrooms growing up so I had never tried to get whole house wifi.

After trying mesh routers, powerline adapters and other methods all producing lousy results, I decided to run a proper CAT6 cable from the basement, to the attic and then down into all the bedrooms.

While there were channels that ran the 3 stories to the attic, I was not able to get a fish all the way from one end to the other without obstruction or opening up walls.

So we went redneck on it. Got a 100ft flat cable, ran it out his window, along the roof of the porch, down the side of the house and through the basement window. Closed everything up and now he has a 300Mbps connection to the Internet. Despite this all being in the front of the house, none of it is visible. Took 10 minutes.

Eventually I'll probably do it the right way, or maybe just wait for him to move out in 6 to 12 month (the current plan) and not worry about it. Yep, probably what I'll do.

Spent yesterday with Dave-Ror and our other teammate Double A-Ron, properly social distancing of course, while prepping the Team Lazy #151 Champcar Endurance Racing Series Hatchcrap for it's cage. Stripped the asphalt sound deadening from the floor, removed as much excess metal from the body as possible and loaded it up on the trailer to take for the roll cage install!
