personally, i love talking to low rider guys. i've never met a group that is more passionate about the most minute details of custom work.

We have a few guys that are into them at my work and they are crazy detailed. Etched chrome parts, all the wiring hidden and tucked, their engine bays are ridiculous. I can't believe they even drive the damn things. You would have to spend 2 weeks with cotton swabs and a toothbrush to clean them again.

Search "Ronnie's morning get together". He started it years ago with a few car buddies, now it is huge, or was before covid. Second Saturday of the month. Summer months there will be hundreds of cars of every type. Ferraris, lowriders, muscle, hot rods, you name it.

We have a mostly abandoned mall where about 20 guys would get together on a Wednesday morning to talk cars. There is a small bakery that has coffee, so a nice group that likes all types of cars. The Wednesday before lockdown one guy counted over 800 cars. No judging just looking at other peoples rides.

Very cool. Ronnie's is that way. You'll have a lowrider, next to a rat rod, next to a classic Mini, next to a Super Bird, next to a brand new Vette, and so on.

Car guys look different, but all speak the same language.

This is what made Japan so cool to visit, among other things.

80% of the friends I made there can’t speak English much or at all, but we were able to become friends because of the shared interest of our cars (and in one case also baseball).

Yep, it was an Italian restaurant for a while before DD's. It mostly burnt down 4 years ago. Being right there at the entrance to downtown, Los Gatos leaders waved most of their silly building codes so they could rebuild quick.

I stopped at the Black Watch and had a beer a few weeks before we moved. I hadn't been there since the '80s. I was exactly the same.

I made 5 lbs of breakfast sausage today. Man sheep casings are hard to untangle. They turned out great. Delicious!

I started a new hobby.......its called job search!!!

14 years for a company and they laid my whole department off.........

Bright side...I can now look for something fun to do and the severance package was real nice, maybe its time to go home to England.
