Yeah I miss the days where "I think I can" was a good enough reason to do something, and I am not even that old yet

No this is correct. If the food is prepared properly the virus cannot survive the cooking process and would not survive the digestive process even if it did, at least from what I've read.

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person. This includes between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet), and through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. However, it’s always critical to follow the 4 key steps of food safety—clean, separate, cook, and chill – to prevent foodborne illness.

Fair enough.

And the people at grocery stores who stand in front of a shelf for 5+ minutes without gloves, picking up and putting down literally all the options because they can't decide.

Yeah, but the fact that people aren't running around coughing on each other and it's still spreading quickly indicates that there is more to it than that. One guess I have (I'm not an expert) is that simply speaking puts out enough virus to infect someone. So if anyone infected talks within 6 feet of your food after it has been cooked and then you put that food in your mouth, you could now have virus in your mouth.

A hamburger bun is not cooked after it's wrapped in the paper. Even that snippet you quoted is full of weasel words.

It's food for thought ~cough~

What else is the FDA gonna do? Tell you that they don't have any control over the situation?

It's like any other virus, it infects those that do not have antibodies to fight it off. It's on surfaces, it's in the air, it's everywhere. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of viruses we all encounter everyday that we pay no mind too because we have antibodies that ward them off. It will not magically go away, just like the viruses that cause measles, polio, H1N1 (Spanish Flu), etc. They are all still present, our immune systems just take care of them. This will be the same for the coronavirus.
