18 in the rear would look silly and not be rotatable.

Whilst fantasizing about purchasing an 86 earlier in the year, I was intrigued by the TRD - 18" Alloy wheel package 18x7 front, 18x7.5 rear. Just currently thinking that I could be a little stickier in my rear. Love my bronze 17" wheels, I will adjust my zeal in burning through corners for the moment.

Hmm interesting. I'm looking at RCE yellows but don't want to destroy the ride too much.

The roads around here lately are pretty crap.

I gave the interior and exterior a spring clean. Taking it to a friend with an extractor for a carpet shampoo.

18s won't give you more traction unless you run different tires but then you need to run all the same anyway. If you want more sticky just change all the 17s to a different tire. If you run different on the rear than the front you will have all sorts of traction control issues.

The RSR are a 1 1/2" drop. Even with the bump stops cut I visited them fairly often. Had to come to almost a dead stop at most railway crossings.

Shows what I know. Again, very satisfied with the well balanced handling.

Just plain fun.

Your post prompted me to do a quick search. Turned up this:
https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...-19-inch-tires

So objectively (according to the article) I would not see better traction.

Just for a point of reference my Hakone 86 came with Michelin PRIMACY HPs.

I was definitely not looking for 17s in the front and 18s in the rear.

Just saw that the TRD rim (job) package had 18x7.5s for the rear and 18x7s for the front.
It turns out that wider tires don't always objectively offer more grip!

So in summary, I'll run with the current set of tires for the foreseeable future.

As much as everyone craps on the primacy HPs, they're damn fun to drive on if you are using the car in town.

I swap back and forth between my aftermarket wheels with PS4S and stock wheels/tires. Both are great in their own regards.

Well, you say so, but I found that their reverse stopping distance isn't all that great -

I'm looking forward to just that.

Getting back to the thread topic...

Yesterday I took it for some pandemic grocery gettin!
  • Ample cargo room
  • The groceries faired less well during the return
    • It's just too hard not to take those corners like you mean it!
      • Should of gotten a photo. It was damn funny (nothing leaked or broke).

hey guys i have a question that might be kind of dumb but ill ask anyway lol.

so a month ago i was reversing into my driveway and my front splitter got caught in the snow and yanked my bumper off. now because of my splitter i have no splash shielding underneath and so long story short, the only thing holding my bumper onto the car is the clips that go under the headlights and to the side markers and that plate in the engine bay with the 5 10mm nuts on it. those clips hold the bumper but its like still fairly easy to tug off, i can just give it a yank and take it off. I know the right way to really fix this is a new bumper and clips but i was wondering if bumper quick releases will hold it sufficiently?

also, ive since chassis mounted the splitter, its no longer bumper mounted like my ricer self had it originally. if i secure the bumper to the splitter, do i need those aforementioned quick releases?

I would guess it would hold, until it snows again -
