Me? As soon as the freaking car gets here. Been on order since early Feb. They're hoping June. By then I hope to have my kit all purchased and ready to go.

You know, I've actually considered that. Last time I was in AR was to do my open water qualification dives at Lake Norfork. You in Little Rock?

Norfork is a nice lake, couple hours from us though.

You should see it from the bottom.

Max, what sort of processor were you running? I'm looking at an NZA Duo and I figured that if I couldn't live with or tame the reflections using a processor, I'd have to consider custom A-Pillars...though I'm really not a fan of them.
Did you have any other issues with the AP drivers or did you just figure you could get adequate performance for less money?

I'm running a Mosconi 120.4dsp. Since I posted that I have wrapped the pillars in suede and went back and retuned. My tune was way off, not sure why. They were almost brand new when I last tuned, maybe they chnaged a lot in break in, maybe I just screwed up the first time, Idk. They sound a lot better now, but I am still getting a peak around 12k. Working on making a dash mat that doesn't look like ass.not sure I can do it, but hopefully it will help.
As for the AP drivers, I do love them. The Arians will be replaced with the new intimid8r 8" they are coming out with. Still up in the air about the nz3. But I might try to stuff a bigger coax in the dash, maybe a Morel Ovation Integra.

I've been reading a lot about widebands and there's some very mixed opinions out there. Some people swear by them and others, such as JBL's Andy Wehmeyer say that they're nothing but a stupid fad that don't hold a candle to a decent tweeter.
I guess I'm just going to have to give them a try to satisfy my own curiosity at this point since other people's opinions don't count for much in audio.

its just personal preference, no different than people who prefer a hard or soft dome tweeter. Wide bands sound fine when setup right. Not my taste but they sound a million times better than the frs oem BS.

This tweeter mount is so doable on the 86.. hmmm

Would it not be worthwhile to mount the tweeters pointing directly with the 3.5" still bouncing off the glass?

The downside is I'd have to control volume at the DSP, which isn't really a big deal as it comes with a remote mounted display.
I've done this with a Raspberry Pi, Hifi berry add-on, and a screen. You can run Crankshaft on the Pi which gives you Android Auto, and the hifi berry gives you coax digital out. It's a very cost effective way to do it.

Not likely. Driver spacing is bad, making the mid>tweet crossover much more problematic. For the sizes employed, the two should be kept paired. Treat them as if they were one.
