I used to haul around about 1,000 gallons of the stuff.

Which brings to mind a story. Waaaay back when, the now mrs humfrz and I were "dating", we used to go everywhere together. So, one day I dropped her off to get her haircut. When she had finished she came out and asked me how it looked. I replied (since it was quite short) that it looked sort of "dyke-ish". That's when we started not going everywhere together.

The lesson I learned then was to NEVER give any comment on a woman's hair, even if asked, except to say "it looks nice".

i don't see the problem!

i'm still young enough to feel the need to remind them that if they don't want my actual opinion, don't ask!

most of my family knows better, though a few sister in law's still need a reminder every now and again

Well, that may be fine for your situation, but you aren't married to a redhead with a stainless steel tongue -

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but that puppy looks real sick, if not already dead, to me.

No it's hella heatlthy. It's a redwood so it naturally has a redish brownish hue to it. I've seen it be almost entirely brown after some bad winters when it was smaller thought it was a goner. This year it stayed almost entirely green. Best year yet for a tree growing out of its element. (Except when it was small enough to live inside)

I'd imagine the light makes it look worse then it is too. At first I though it was Charlie Brown's Xmas tree.
