I do translation job on the side & have few clients that are wrappers. Wrapping isn’t that hard... just need a lot of patience, but other than that, you can prob do it. If you’re really interested in wrapping the whole car, recommend doing something small first if it’s your thing or not.

Here’s shift knob cover thingy I’ve wrapped for my wife’s WRX... which took me maybe 20~30mins?

Nope.

Got the 82" installed upstairs. The wife and kid were watching Spaceballs. You can see the zits on their faces!

Well, your car is looking good - but I don't know about your garage - where do you keep all your "stuff"?

Your wife has zits on her face? -

Before you mounted that giant TV on the wall, I sure hope you reinforced the wall with 2x8 studs and securely bolted it to the wall with 2" angle irons and large bolts -

Remember, you DO live in an active earthquake zone!

What is a stud? I just used a couple of drywall anchors. They say they hold 50lbs each, and tv weighs 100lbs, so two should due.

I figure they have earthquakes once every 40 years, and that was the second biggest in a couple hundred years and it didn't even knock down anything. I'll be ok.

Yeah the paint looks great, but difficult to keep it that way. Something that has me a bit worried is how well the new paint on the bumper will match with the rest of the car. I’m sure it’ll be fine but still lol Also noticed a couple rust spots around the car but I’m having them touch up a few spots since they’ll have the paint already. Then probably buff and wax.

Welp, you could have just used two sided tape, then you wouldn't have had to drill holes in the drywall -

(did you take out earthquake insurance out on that TV?)

your call

It is an awesome movie room, a great sound system would be cool, I just hate spending as much as the tv on sound.

I don't know if the rear speakers in the ceiling are any good, plus don't SS speakers always come in a set?
most surround sound systems are wired. only the really oddball designer types are wireless.

generally, it's best to get one's in a set so that the acoustics all match, it makes it easier to set up, and less obvious as the bullets/trains/cars/fists whiz by from the 'front', to the 'rear'.

but there's no hard and fast rules about it. i run what i was told were LG tv speakers for everything in front, and some random Aiwa 'surround' speakers for the rear. it's good enough for now until i have the motivation to build the speakers i really want

You can’t see it in the pic, but corner of the garage (behind the car) have 3 different sets of wheels plus other tools are under the tool table. I try to hide a lot of things while taking a photos.

Yeah... hardest one to paint match is pearl white on our car. It doesn’t matter you get the right color code, pearl paint is 75% impossible match. That’s why I didn’t want white (plus it’s too common).

Interesting.

How do you think something like this would work with that Yamaha amp?
