with the exception of the actual purchase price of the vehicles, i've spent more this year with more to go on vehicles than i ever have before... ranger just got $900 worth of shop work done(mostly fluids and seals that i'm happier not having to fill a curse jar over), still needs $1200 in front end parts ASAP for a ball joint singing alto(1 ball joint, but i'm replacing all of them so i don't have to deal with it again, all the rubbers rotted), and i'm on the hunt for a FX4 rear axle for the torsen diff..
and in a point of weakness, the brz got an itb kit that i need to install at some point in the next decade. both are due for oil changes, and the brz is at the service interval for many fluids to be swapped... and that doesn't include the snow blower i bought(tat didn't need for the mild winter we ended up having) that i'm still paying off (yay, 0%!!). it's shaping up to be one of the most expensive years so far for me. i made most of these decisions on the financial forecasts for the year before disease killed everything.

it's a box. it has parts wrapped in bubble wrap. i'm told the parts assemble into something that makes angels sing and traffic part to allow me through.
that's all i know.

Captain's log, stardate 12.
It has been 12 twelve days of isolation in Corona Sector 5. We have been asked not to make contact with the other beings in the sector, maintaining at least a 6 parsec distance. Most of the crew is handling it well, however, both the divorce and pregnancy rates have increased drastically on board. Most are catching up on hobbies, and binge watching 20th century westerns. We do have many sick on board. We could sure use more tricorders. The one Bones has is being passed around more than an Orian slave girl. We are also experiencing a shortage of toilet paper and have resorted to coffee filters and Klingon Talons. Don't ask me how that works. Paper items seem to be the only items the replicator cannot replicate since Spock was bored and took it apart. To be continued.... |
