I'd pay a king's ransom for a decent twin-screw. This may be hangover from my e36 days, but I'm now hardwired into that preference.

It's simple really. Dyno queens. Turbo kits without a doubt will always put out the most power. That is undisputed. You can swap sizes on a turbo and easily put down more peak output, and also turbos can handle higher psi levels. Now does that mean in a racing aspect turbo is better?
It really depends. When you look at things like rally cars, they maximize torque because they are HP limited. However, they still use turbos because they run anti lag systems etc that a street car can't if it wants to maintain reliability. I say for a weekend warrior car, that's being tracked a good supercharged system that's cooled properly would be better for a car than a turbo charged kit provided the hp difference isn't significant. s/c - linear smooth power band (low power vs turbo) turbo - high peak HP (typically) |
