Antibiotics, fluids or other supplies could become scarce or already run out.
Serious question, are those younger people under 50 admitted to the hospital in actual need of critical care? Or just being admitted as a precautionary / risk of spread?

Here the many of those confirmed with Covid are being sent home to self-quarantine and recover at home, only those with other complications or older patients are being admitted to the hospital.

The only ones being admitted are ones who meet (insurance) standards for admission, which is anyone who is compromised meaning O2 sat is less than 92% for normal people and less than 88% or something for people who have COPD, and who is febrile over 101 and tachy. Bad labs and other comorbidity factors would also be considered along with age, mentation and their social situation.

We are discharging everyone who is positive or negative with flu or COVID who can self-manage with normal enough labs and vital signs. Heart rates of 95-105 is not high enough, or o2 sat that is normal with 103 temps are not being admitted.

Found out the girl I was interested in has a boyfriend.

Normally I'd just socially isolate myself from everyone while I go through the closure process.

But.. seeing as I'm already isolated.. Maybe a drive instead?

“34 year old California man dies”. This is how it’ll happen to a lot of people if the hospitals blow up with new cases. People in Italy over a certain age were not even picked up by EMS; they were assumed to be a lost cause. The young were sent home and told to return if they must. Many people died alone in isolation wards at the hospital when they were too far gone with no family to mourn their passing. Self-quarantine to flatten the curve!

We don't have any cases in our county, and no restrictions, but my wife is paranoid because I have a heart condition, so we are staying home. We can without any hardship being retired, so I guess the right thing to do.

One bummer is the gym. I was just getting to where I wanted to go, and feeling results. I'll have to start all over again when this is over. Oh well.

I’m right there with you bro. Everything I like to do is closed/cancelled. Not big into TV and video games and all that so, at this point, going on a drive is the most fun thing I can think of lol

Also, is being her friend out of the question or what? Lol

... just saw a commercial urging me to "visit California, it just might take your breath away". It's in a recording from 2 weeks ago, but still a bit... Morbid? Prophetic?
