1453) Investigating the sequence of events leading to the demise of the other covid thread. Then drafting a well written article presenting the facts the investigation uncovered in an orderly fashion that strictly avoids using inflammatory language or telling people what they should think about those facts. Thus ensuring FT86club.com goes down in history as the last bastion of true investigative journalism.

Ok I'm kidding. Or am I...

Lol and the witch hunt has begun. My wife got some burger grease in her throat and coughed at a pub on Sunday and the waitress was like

I had the bronchitis bug that went around a month ago, which is likely why I got the Flu, but even though I am relatively symptomatic now, I have a nagging throat tickle/cough, but this is in all likelihood nothing concerning, but there is no way of knowing for sure without the test, and that ain't happening.

I just spoke with one of my ex coworkers. His stepdad is around 90 and lives in one of those vast age-restricted communities in Arizona. My former coworker said that they typically have a very small, dedicated clinic for each community. He fears if the virus gets loose in places like that there will be no stopping it. It's something I hadn't really thought of. We have some 55-and-over neighborhoods around here but they are pretty small, and well-integrated. Do any of you have personal experience with those big retirement communities? Thoughts?

SNFs, assisted living facilities and these elderly communities are that much more encouraged to stay at home and isolate themselves. Moreover, visitors are often not allowed. In fact, we have a no visitor policy here at the hospital except one adult for a child patient or for terminal patients. SNFs are more likely to have an outbreak because of staff, but the elderly communities are likely taking this very seriously and quarantining themselves.

Honestly, unless anyone is having a serious need to go to the ER, stay away. Unless you are breathing in excess of 20 respirations per minute with chest pain and shortness of breath with a cough and a fever over 101 then we are likely going to say go home and wait it out like the flu and return if things get worse.

I think if I had a single family home it'd be far more doable.

But living in a 1 bedroom apartment? It's the worst. My bedroom only has a bed so I don't spend daytime in there, which means I have to spend my whole day in the living room/dining area (which is just a basic folding table and folding chairs, not comfortable at all). My living room only has a two person love seat sofa.

It's awful. I guess at least I can keep my door open for fresh air because I have a screen door.

I'm thinking I'll just be going on short 20-30 min drives here and there (even though technically that's not even allowed according to the ordinance) and make an excuse of going to some super out of the way supermarket for groceries.

Also, my apartment manager just shut off the water for a "plumbing issue" and no idea of an ETA.

Great timing.
OH, MY! spike021

!ALERT!

The screen door won't keep out the corona virus!

Slam your door ASAP and steam clean yourself!

We could use the excitement. Most of our customers are shut down. All of us in management positions were asked to put together lists of projects that we would like to see done around the building to keep the production and warehouse employees busy.

You obviously have not had to deal with work TP in a long time. It barely qualifies for the name.

I'll betcha mrs Tcoat will be thankful for that!

STOP! it's a trap!

They want you to make up the list so when they lay the workers off, they will have a list of things for YOU to do!

That was the case but isn't any longer. I know the large reference labs are doing tests. We're a relatively small system but have tested a few hundred persons, no positives yet although some tests are taking a while to return due to volume.
