Makes sense with repo rates already at record highs from subprime lending blowback. Having nearly new repo Toyotas running through the auction could wind up hurting new vehicle sales and creating a downward sales spiral so it's CYA.

I've been WFH a week and a half now.

But only the past few days have I been attempting to enforce an actual 'stay at home' policy, with the new county rules.

Yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and ran out for an iced coffee, just to have a reason to drive the car and open the windows for fresh air.

The barista/cashier basically had me stand 4ft from the counter, give my order, reach over with my card, and then step outside till they called my name. (at the same time a couple of other customers were giggling at my car as I parked in front and then promptly shut up when I got out ).

Were they giggling at your car or YOU?

The cost of decontaminating the vehicles would be a nightmare!!! Better to leave the cars with the infected..

I will still be at work when they shut down. There will only be a handful of us though.

I did a week once when recovering from phenomena.
If you are actually working it sucks!
If you are just pretending to work but doing other stuff as well it isn't to bad.
If you aren't even pretending and just lounging around each hour becomes 4 long.
It get's worse every day.

On Wednesday, Honda announced that it would adjust production at all of its automobile production plants in North America because of an anticipated decline in market demand related to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Honda Manufacturing of Alabama plant in Lincoln is among those affected.

According to a press release, Honda will suspend production for six days beginning on Monday, March 23 with current plans to return to production on Tuesday, March 31. “As the market impact of the fast-changing COVID-19 situation evolves, Honda will continue to evaluate conditions and make additional adjustments as necessary. In undertaking this production adjustment, Honda is continuing to manage its business carefully through a measured approach to sales that aligns production with market demand,” the release said.

Honda will continue full pay for all of its associates during this time. About 27,600 Honda associates in North Alabama will be affected by the temporary suspension.

In addition, the company will continue deep cleaning of its production facilities and common areas during the suspension to further protect associates upon their return to the plants.

“This production adjustment also will allow Honda associates to better prepare and adjust family plans in relation to regional directives to close schools to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This will enable working parents to determine how best to manage the needs of children staying home from school and other required lifestyle adjustments,” the statement said.

In addition to the temporary suspension at Honda’s plant in Lincoln, other facilities in the U.S., Mexico and Canada will be affected.

In Ohio, the Marysville Auto Plant, East Liberty Auto Plant and Performance Manufacturing Center will suspend production, as well as Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. Honda of Canada Manufactuing Plants 1 and 2 will be affected, as well as the Celaya Auto Plant in Mexico.

Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America and Honda of America Mfg. Anna Engine Plant in Ohio, Honda Precision Parts of Georgia, Honda of Canada Mfg. Engine Plant and Honda de Mexico Celaya Transmission Plant will suspend production as well.

Probably the car, their gaze was never really directed toward myself, only the back-half of the car. Of course it's filthy because I haven't gotten to wash it in a while. Maybe that was why.

I think if I had a single family home it'd be far more doable.

But living in a 1 bedroom apartment? It's the worst. My bedroom only has a bed so I don't spend daytime in there, which means I have to spend my whole day in the living room/dining area (which is just a basic folding table and folding chairs, not comfortable at all). My living room only has a two person love seat sofa.

It's awful. I guess at least I can keep my door open for fresh air because I have a screen door.

I'm thinking I'll just be going on short 20-30 min drives here and there (even though technically that's not even allowed according to the ordinance) and make an excuse of going to some super out of the way supermarket for groceries.

Also, my apartment manager just shut off the water for a "plumbing issue" and no idea of an ETA.

When I tell my friends I'm WFH they get all jealous about it.

It is NOT fun, at all.

Nobody gets it at all. They just think it's 'oooh you get to be paid to stay home and do nothing.'

The big three as well. Ford and GM have made official statements. Just waiting for FCA. My office area is VERY busy right now and I am sure we are exceeding the maximum number in a room rules.
