Washington State, somewhere around Camas that's been transformed into a clean small town with a friendly vibe.

It's sad to see what's happening to my home state of Oregon with taxes and regulation driving people and businesses away.

I'll also legally avoid state income taxes while joining the conga line to the Oregon Costco to avoid sales taxes. So the plan is to buy and register the new car and SUV in Oregon then move some time afterward.

I'll try converting the Oregon house into an Airbnb, it's close to the most popular outdoor tourist and recreation spots in the state and is well located for that. Plus one of my nieces is finally showing signs of maturation so will hire her to manage it for me (fingers crossed).

That's primarily because that's the truth. You can have COVID19 with very mild symptoms or you can have it where you are on a ventilator. That doesn't mean it isn't getting spun but it does go both ways.

Yeah I get that. I am just saying, you know which news agencies are reporting on which story, and which one they are not reporting on. I know a lot of people who only listen/watch one agency based on their own bias.

Oh yes, the TV remote(s). Back in the day, when we only had 3 channels (on a clear night), I was OK.

NOW, there are a few hundred cable channels with 3 remotes and each one has all these buttons. Hell, the 3 age-er, even talks to the remote and it changes channels for her -

What to do .......

humfrz
Yes, 300 channels of the same shite that the 3 channels put out back in the day.. I suppose the novelty of seeing the programs in colour doesn't wear off..

As I can't find the Covid-19 thread that I started I have to post here.. The UK is shutting down all schools from this Friday night.

I'm hearing that the Government is stepping up control, possible close down of the country for 15 days from Friday..

Ford, GM and FCA shutting down all operations. Guess they won't need rotors for a bit. We can run some service parts for a short while but then it will be us as well.

Cabin fever is no joke.

I've been WFH a week and a half now.

But only the past few days have I been attempting to enforce an actual 'stay at home' policy, with the new county rules.

Yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and ran out for an iced coffee, just to have a reason to drive the car and open the windows for fresh air.

The barista/cashier basically had me stand 4ft from the counter, give my order, reach over with my card, and then step outside till they called my name. (at the same time a couple of other customers were giggling at my car as I parked in front and then promptly shut up when I got out ).
