I've just recently found this thread, and have skimmed through most of the 53pgs. can someone reiterate for me how much hp is be produced at 4psi, how much is predicted at 8psi, how safe is this with the high compression of the engine, and how much are we looking to pay for this?

Currently about 50 hp at 4psi. As for the rest of your questions, it all still in the works.

But it's been a long time since I was familiar with the potato's origins, so I could be (and likely am) wrong on some points.
Actually, the B15 sentra 2.0 SE was first used as the test mule for this prototype turbo. It had a "disco" color-changing paint job, and the B15 sentra looks like a potato.

The car went on the USCC on Sport Compact Car's rag. The car was referred to as the disco potato, the turbo followed suit. The turbo proved to have terrific response on the factory 9.5:1 roller-rocker SR20DE. It was a street terror, proving that SR20s pull premium one-week before race wars!

Is this actual boost cut triggered by the MAP sensor or is it something like MAF overrun?

Curious that it allows 4psi before cutting off (and handy...)
