If this is true, Microsoft is a STRONG company!

IIRC, Bezos owns 12% of Amazon stock still!!!
He says as I stare at a PC running Windows OS, using MS Office, connected to services running on Azure...

I'm not saying Microsoft Windows is good. My company has been crippled by the flaws in Windows 10 in the last few weeks...

Just commenting that he owns 1/10th the amount of "his" company compared to others. This inherently makes the company able to "go on without the owner" much easier.

I hate Win 10. We put off switching to 10 as long as we could but where forced to "upgrade" a couple months ago. We are still fixing shit

I hear you. We are still running 7 on a few that are not hooked to our Network. We delayed switching to 10 as long as possible too.

the worst part is that they keep insisting this will be the last OS they ever make. they should've stopped at 7.

I now work on the distribution side, though. So I shouldn’t bump into too many angry people, other than those who have dealt with main replacement recently and if they had their boulevards, driveways, yards and whatnot torn up, I might be the target of their ire. But then I can just make sure that they direct their anger towards our construction department.
Ha, I'm dealing with that right now. The MDC (local water mafia) is digging up my whole street and putting in new lines. I know it's for the best and that they probably have rights of way legally and all that. Still I get the territorial rage a little bit when random dudes be digging on my land. The only time I called the cops was when a dump truck driver backed up and sunk his front tire into my lawn, destroyed all the curbing on the road, and didn't say shit or even leave a note. I showed the webcam footage to the cop who was like I work with this guys everyday so I'm not arresting them but I'll make sure they fix it. And they did fix the curb. Other than that I'm basically just putting grass seed on the mud the left (fairly level I will say). One of them even made fun of me as he drove by on the bulldozer saying "hey you feeding the chickens?" Lol. They are all pretty cool though they have been working on my street all winter so we are kind of situational friends. One guy is a Subaru guy and commented on how many Subarus I own. Used to have 400+ hp STi he claims. I was telling him how I have more fun with the BRZ than the STi sleeper but he gave me the skeptical eye.

I would too! I had lots more fun in my 2006 STi. I would be having fun in the wife's 2016 STi if she'd let me drive it with the same verve.

I just said this same thing to a coworker. Once management comes to the realization that a job can be performed by anyone with an internet connection, they will start looking at who can do it cheapest

I guess it depends what makes you happier. I like hard cornering more than straight line acceleration. I test drove a Mustang GT too before I bought the BRZ just to make sure pure acceleration wasn't what I really wanted. It put a smile on my face, but it didn't corner that well (better than the older ones at least though). I guess the STi is a good medium but I still just personally prefer the BRZ. My current STi is also a 2005 Impreza wagon with an 04 JDM STi version 8 swap. So maybe doesn't quite handle like newer STi sedan would.. Although I have owned a 2003 WRX that put down 2014 STi numbers on the dyno and driven the 2013 STi sedan. Still I just love the little 2700lb car feel of the BRZ above all.

If I want fast I will go ride my bike. It is not even fast by bike standards but still is a 3.3 0-60.
