The speculation is what are they trying to accomplish? Handling characteristic? Tire heating? Change in toe for better speed on straights? It's cool to see this type of tech

All of the above I would imagine.

I'm actually concerned about the safety and driver overload aspects of the system. Unless it's a worm gear mechanism, and even if there is a lockout, it creates a situation where the steering wheel is being moved in the braking zone. It's another thing the driver has to pay attention to, in one of the more difficult and dangerous sections of track, and a part that could force the steering wheel into the cockpit(?) in a collision.

Look forward to the ground effect changes. So many races now are won or lost on the first lap, hopefully the changes make passing on the track instead of the undercut in the pits a real option.

My prediction is that Ferrari is throwing this season and putting their budget into 2021. Lewis will have his 7th title with Max coming in second most of the season.

1. Lewis - 2. Max - 3. Bottas - 4. Leclerc - 5. Vettel - 6. Albon

I agree and I am bored so I will attempt the crap shoot that is 7-12.

7: Riccardo - has experience and a potentially good 2020 car
8: Sainz - Because Mclaren is going to be fast this year.
9: Gasly - Redemption is one hell of a motivator and alpha tauri always has a decent car.
10: Norris - Because Mclaren is going to be fast this year.
11: Ocon - First year in the Renault but he will prob do better than this.

Midfield tough to predict, but I think if anyone is sacrificing 2020 for 2021 it's Renault.

Yah it is. But its just for fun.

Daniel and Ocon are good for consistent points. They looked good in practice. Not that that means anything. But they look better than last year. Still going to loose to mclaren tho.

I think Ferrari will be the first to throw. Renault made quite a lot of changes over the off season. I don't think they will toss in the towel unless the car is not looking competitive at summer break.

Ferrari has already hinted their focus is on 2021. If Albon can deliver and Vettel has the same year he did in 2019 I expect red bull to be the new #2. I hope Albon delivers because it would be exciting to see him join the battle between Max and Leclerc.

Yeah I guess I'm mostly just sad for Danny Ric. If he had gone to McLaren he'd be fighting for occasional podiums at least. I mean Sainz is not a bad driver, but he lost to Hulkenberg at Renault and was out-qualified by his rookie teammate last year...

Ric to Ferrari would of course be awesome, but at this point I think that depends on Giovinazzi - if he has a strong year then I think Ferrari would prefer to have a clear #1 and #2 drivers by pairing him with Leclerc.

I think Sainz really turned a corner going from 2018 to 2019. He seems more focused and driven. Even in his interviews he seems much more confident then in previous years. There are a lot of great drivers in the midfield right now that could challenge for the occasional podium. I am pretty excited for this season. Then 2021 could be madness.
