does this count? I parked in my driveway with fervour intentionally knowing this would probably happen.

The 13 miles drive in 6+ inches of snow skewed my judgment maybe. Very thankful for stock ride height today

Drove my FRS to the grocery store in 50 degF weather. I am pleased to say that they seemed to be fully stocked on toilet paper and water. Did not crash. It was a good day.

Not today but Friday
Left work early to go get required Used Car Sales package from Service Ontario (our DMV).
Entrance to strip mall is only one car wide and there was a car coming out so I had to stop and wait.
I am sitting in right lane with blinker on while he waits for opening in traffic.
Look in mirror and see raised pickup about a block back and coming fast.
Still coming not slowing down.
STILL COMING!
SHIT, HE DOESN'T"T SEEM ME.
Car coming out is partway onto right lane Car coming up in left lane. No place to go to get out of the way.
At last possible split second he sees me and goes around still at full speed. I swear he went up onto two wheels!

Did not crash.

Would have got a lot more money from insurance for totaled car then it sold for though.
Mixed emotions did result.

Sounds like these Ottawa roads.

I find these days with all the nannies on cars, it let's people get distracted even easier. Inflated sense of control over the vehicle, maybe.

Doubt that this particular case was nanny related since the truck was late 80s at best.
Even with them though I don't believe the new nannies are a huge factor since people relying on them wouldn't have paid much more attention before they existed. People are the issue not the tech.

Oh well late 80s, then they just don't care, they won't get hurt.

Correct is not the tech it's the people.
I guess I eluded that I was blaming tech, wasn't my intention.

If that truck didn't see your hot lava painted car till the last minute, just think of the possible outcome if your car would have been painted dark green -

Don't think colour would have been a factor. More like the cell phone they probably had in their hand.

In any case, let's hope your car doesn't find itself under an old Subaru Outback.

Drove mine to Oregon yesterday for tax free toilet paper. It loves cruising at 80mph.

Did not crash.

But did you wipe?

Are you clean or dirty if you crash?
