I have an old Scalextric set, it's too big and clumsy when compared with what you have. The track and cars look like good fun, you've got me checking out various sites..

That's Gregory Braun's site. I have ordered stuff from him several times over the years.

My local hobby shop is really nice. They have an indoor carpet track and anyone is free to run on it at any time. They run a winter league series on Tuesday nights and run regular events every Saturday through the year.

I was trying to make the winter league but my work schedule is about as reliable as a chilli fart.

Like anything else I just enjoy the building a tinkering aspect of it. My rock crawler has many 3D printed parts I’ve made.

Nice. When the kids were young we had a few remote control trucks that we used to play Monster Jam with but nothing serious. I also have a remote controlled Scorpion Tank (from Halo CE) that is still in the box on my "trophy shelf".

Oh, and I have the one below that was one of the First 86 gifts. I've never actually taken it out of the box. Always meant to just never go around to it. It is red so it matches my car. I have used it before as part of a conversation when answering this question about the FRS "Hey, that's the car that Subaru helped build right, is it 4WD?" My answer is "No, this one isn't but I have another one at home that is".

i never thought of it that way! i've got a awd version at home too! it's slower than the real thing though.

i've used it all of 1 time, mostly to make sure everything worked. always wanted an associated tc3 as a kid for no measurable reason. so got one as an adult, and it sits on a shelf.

I'd really like to pick up a BRZ body and build an on road car. Just don't have enough time. I haven't even trimmed and painted the new body for my SC truck I have had for about a month now.

I got one of these in the 80's. It was really fun. I sold it on EBay a few years ago for a bundle. It had a transmission.

Those are a collector piece. Though I think you can get them again, like $800. Its a pretty cool build.
