Is it much money for a Clutch Kit for 13'BRZ?

I dropped my car to the dealership due to the Valve Springs recall. I told them to check out the throwout bearing because I had a rattling noise and it got pretty hard to engage the gears. Just for the record, this was not the first time I got that noise and the first time the TOB collapsed and made a mess in the transmission.
They said that the pressure plate was pretty worn out and the clutch had 20% of the material. They also said the flywheel had hot stops. The last time I changed the clutch and the Pressure Plate I did not change the flywheel. This time I'm going to change the Pressure Plate, Clutch, Flywheel, and TOB. They told me it will be around 900$ just in parts. They told me they will not charge me for labor because they have the engine out already. My logic behind it that I can try to get the clutch kit to replace somewhere else but the labor itself will overcome the savings of finding a cheaper alternative.

My question is: Is 800-900$ for the OEM Clutch kit expensive? I already said yes and I really want to keep my car for longer. I currently have 120k miles and I have not planned to get rid off the car. I just want your honest opinion as I already authorized them for the job and I will have to pay it.

Thanks guys!!!

Thank you guys for your honest and quick response!
A following questions, how many miles should I expect from this new clutch kit?

Will they let you bring in your own parts? You can get an OE kit for half (or less) that price.

I got 90k miles out of my clutch, probably would have gotten a lot more but the TOB crapped out.

Agree with gravitylover. My TOB crapped out, but decided to change the clutch kit early on.

I got the clutch kit (everything you mentioned included) for half that cost. Granted, they are OEM "equivalent" and not from the dealer. I think you could have saved a bunch of money by going to a trusted mechanic.

Seems like a lot just for the parts. My parts came to half that and our prices are much higher here. My whole thing with parts and labour was only $1200.

I'm not so sure about the labor amount of cost they added but Exedy OEM Clutch Kit - 2013+ FR-S / BRZ is the same as the OEM clutch kit as far as I can tell. They claim to manufacture it on the same line as the OEM and I had my clutch kit replaced when my TOB went and I honestly it felt the same as it did when the car was new.

He said no labour charge. The $900 was just for parts. Not sure they would do the work for no labour if he brought the parts in. I wouldn't.

Ah I missed that part. Then it seems they are not really giving any sort of deal for replacing the clutch kit. I would guess around $900 for dealer parts and labor sounds about right. Know they are not giving you any sort of special deal on account of doing the recall.

I did get a quote from my dealer before I took it elsewhere and they were $1800. Labor was $1k. When I asked how it could possibly take 8 hours to change a clutch the answer was "the book..." Bullsht.

8 hours? Not sure how they figure. I personally saw Neal at the racers line change my clutch kit in front of me like it was no sweat at all.

They will not accept parts from other place than the dealer.

I was thinking about saying "Put everything together and I will find a mechanic to get that fix" but honestly, that will take me time and I can't be without a car as I need to work and go to school. Right now I'm driving a rental for free thanks to the recall so mine as well get other repairs done too.
