Is there such a thing as a quiet full Titanium exhaust?
Hi,
My setup: Tomei UEL + stock OP & FP + Q300 This setup used to sound amazing (to my ears) when I first installed the Q300 but "broke" after the first track day (sound deadening material inside the muffler burned away). I'm looking now to change it and since I would like to shed some weight as well a titanium exhaust seems like a good choice. However, I want to keep sound levels as low as possible (Q300 level...give or take few db) and the new exhaust must have dual exit. I was thinking at JDL ultra quiet FP + FactionFab CB but I have no idea if the FP is actually quieter than the stock one, or how FactionFab compares as volume levels with Q300. Also, there is Tomei CB with dual exit on the market now (and some other very expensive stuff), but I could not find much info about it. What do you guys think? |

The factionfab exhaust just uses 2 straight through mufflers. Any other dual exhaust like this would be comparable sound-wise. It will not be very quiet like an exhaust that has a chambered muffler system.
I have no idea about the front pipe, I don't think anything gets quieter than stock. In-line mufflers exist, but likely wouldn't do a whole lot if they're up in the front pipe anyway; just keep the stock frontpipe |

This. From someone who's tried damn near every front pipe out there, trust me, just keep it stock.

Does Invidia not offer a replacement muffler for the Q300? Would you be able to contact them and tell them about the problem? They must have some kind of warranty

How loud is the HKS CB you have? So far I heard for myself MXP Comp RS (VERY loud) and my Q300, so a comparison with any of those will help. Also, did you had any issues on the track with it? I'm interested in this version as an alternative for titanium options. |

There are a ton of more effective ways to lose weight than with a cat back exhaust since it is so low on the car. I would put the stock exhaust on if I wanted quiet. Unless you are turbo you don't need the flow.

Titanium, lightweight, dual exhaust and quiet.
You're going to have a tough time finding a prefab exhaust that meets these requirements. Your best bet is to get a very reputable shop to fabricate something for you. This is going to cost a pretty penny. |

I don't know that you're going to lose a meaningful amount of weight without going to a single exit, and I doubt you're going to find a single exit as quiet as you'd like.
I definitely wouldn't change the frontpipe, everything I've ever seen tells me that the stock FP is the quietest option by far. |

There is a prevailing theory that the Fujitsubo dual resonated front pipe is, at worst as quiet as the stock fp, if not slightly quieter.

How about just some Ti mufflers to replace your worn out Q300 glass packs? There are much more effective and cheaper ways to reduce weight than a full Ti pipe. Only thing does better besides weight is the 'bling' value. Custom exhaust with some nice mufflers is a good compromise. Polish the old pipe up and youre stylin with some titanium bling and sound similar to a brand new Q300.
Man these things aren't cheap are they? lol https://www.amazon.com/Vibrant-Perfo.../dp/B0774V6DTM HKS Bling: May want to see if you can find some oval ones for more sound deadening effect. Also a riveted on tube body so you can repack them later on or try different packing materials.
