They also need some basic mods, stock the brz is way better. Mini just responds real well to some basic upgrades.
I do like the auto rev matching during downshifts. And that stupid checkered flag hard top.

Really? I hate the auto rev match, probably my least favorite feature. Only way to turn it off is to disable the traction control. Every time I start the car it's sports mode, exhaust open and traction off.

Needs a GT-R badge up front to complete the look.

I have seen more GT-R badges on cars that aren't Skylines/GT-Rs than ones that are that I want to shoot myself in the head. I've seen multiple Mustangs, BMWs, and a Smart car or Leaf (I can't remember) just last week. FML.

Thumbs up

Bought a lightly used VW GTI Sport back in December to be my new DD. Handles amazingly well for a FWD (thanks to active front differential) and with a stage one tune is sitting around 300hp/330 lb-ft. Gets 35+ mpg hwy still.

I miss the screaming VTEC of my old GSR, but its hard to argue this car isn't a better DD.

I also don't understand the whole "I need a DD for my 86" argument. I've definitely had no issues DD mine for almost 8 years now.

Yep. I liked it so much as a DD that I bought the new one. I do expect compliments though so I guess the thread title still applies.

I don't understand why would someone would buy a Mini Cooper S, when he has a Twin. If I had the money and permission to buy one, I would never... OK.. I'd buy it as well.. Or a GTI. even make it stage 2.. But not because they make a better daily drive. They are just fun in a different way.

I live in RI and commute into Mass, daily drive the BRZ, and daily-drove the S2000 before that, all winter, every winter.
