I have a BMW X1 and a Scion IM. No 86 (it was an option at the time).

I have 2 sensible family cars for family hauling duties right now, and the plan was to get the family going, finish paying off the X1, then go for an 86 so as to minimize the compromise i'd have to deal with if i was to have 1 family car, 1 sports car.

Wife thinks i should actually jump on the 86 bandwagon sooner rather than later (she knows i want one and shes on board with that) since the plan might actually take far too long to get to the "time to get an 86" part.

So im revisiting it and hoping a good possibly used, sensibly priced 86 GT comes to fruition (looking for a 2018 86 GT in oceanic) sometime so i can get on board. I was and still am willing to deal with the compromises involved, becuase I can still make it work (thanks to 4 seats!!! and im a shortish asian guy so interior space concerns isnt so bad for me)

Eventually the Scion IM will get replaced with the 86, then ill have an 86 to complement the X1.

Had to drive a new Carolla yesterday. Has lane departure assistance or whatever.
Kept trying to steer the car for me and nudging the steering where I didn't want to go.

Was the most annoying feature in a car I've ever run across. Feh!

I think you can turn it off, but turns back on by default when you shut the car off.

The Subaru lane departure doesn't move the wheel but just yells at you constantly.

And my wife. I can tell how fast I am going, how close the car in front of me is and if I am centered in the lane just by watching how tightly her fists are clenched. I know that the traffic light a half mile ahead of me just turned red by the sudden thump of her foot hitting and imaginary brake pedal.
She never used to be like that but is rapidly turning into the old lady driver that is more hazardous than the drivers she is afraid of.

Yeah, that too, in addition, as well.
And little dash icons changing colors and jumping around. Epilepsy ahead.

When I had my 2013 BRZ, I had an E36 BMW M3 as a daily beater. Now.. the beaters are the BRZ and FRS.

I currently have a 2012 128i that I really like, but don't plan to keep long term, cuz BMW. But I do enjoy the comfort and torque while still being a decent handling car. I would love to get some real tires and brakes to see what it can do though.

I really miss the MR2 Spyder we had just before and will likely get another one even though a Miata is more practical.

The fiancee gets a new car fist (will be a 2nd gen twin) but I want to pick up a used CTR down the road. Power and some space plus I like hatches.

So that sticker is covering the plug-in hybrid port that Ford cancelled?
