Glad to see a rare twin in Ontario. I've seen plenty of Raiu's on autotrader and in dealerships but have only ever seen one on the roads.

The dealership told me they are only bringing 50 into the country and only 30% of those will be MT. So far only 30 have been received in Canada (at the same 70/30 mix) but the ATs are just not selling at all. The sales will improve once spring hits but I will be very surprised if I see another in the wild.

I think you'll struggle to see one in the wild as it will blend into the bushery...

at least 2 of them are in Calgary, one MT and one AT.

I think the MT is sold now as the AT is still advertised on autotrader and the dealership website....plus i sat in that one at the dealership lol.

One less MT because that is where mine came from. They asked for it on Saturday and it showed up here on a truck on Tuesday so the dealer there must have been eager to get rid of it.

DUDE YOU SAT IN MY CAR!

Edit: Oh wait you sat in the AT?

haha yeah i sat in the AT model.
The MT model was at a different dealership :P
So no you dont get my buttprint breaking in your seat :p

I dunno if they wanted to get rid of it, the dealership could just be owned by the same guy so they could easily make the arrangements to get it transported. The 2 separate dealerships the HAkones were located at here are owned by the same guy. They could have just also wanted to make the sale as soon as they were able to.

No one's really stocking 86's right now, Im partly guessing due to it still being the winter months so a sports car isnt exactly on anyones radar yet. I also dont like how the only colors they ever do stock here is grey, silver, black or white.....

"If you want to go faster learn how to drive"

I have watched at least 6 video reviews on this car and she was by far the best, most honest and accurate (since I agree with all of her opinions). The others were sales guys fro dealerships that mostly said "don't you love this colour".
or
This d1ckwad that at 23 "thinks he is getting old" and is pissy because Toyota wouldn't trade him a new car for him taking picture of cars they sold when he was 17 years old. This dude is the Special Snowflake poster boy of the car review video.

@3:18 Mark about Torque. Annnndddd he short shifts it.

"Like my mini cooper" "Like my GTi". Hey kid, those have quick spool turbos that allow peak torque to hit quickly. This is an NA high rev engine. Learn to drive it.

And no torque? Doesn't know the meaning of that definition. Wonder how'd he deal with a whomping ~100ft/lbs @ ~5k rpm. You want your power? Better make sure people think you're racing them every time you shift, even though you aren't. You just want to be where the powers at. In this car you don't need to do that though. You'd already be speeding in city traffic before 3rd gear.

I didn't even finish the video. He's right about the green and bronze though. A stunning (but not new) combo. My second favorite color easily after Galaxy Blue Silica (Ultramarine). WRB is a very close 3rd.

Great review. I'd mention that the "best of the best" is subjective, and you can technically order a base level 86 with the PP, at least per Toyota's website, and skip out on the Hakone green, while getting the sachs and brembo's.

Well that picture does clear up the question of why the green colour for me. Even on my screen the trees show the same mix of greens the car does in the sunlight.

I flew directly over the top of Mt. Fuji in a P-3 once. Shot a roll of film from the cockpit. I should find those negatives and scan them.

I flew directly over the top of Mt. Fuji in Google Earth 100 times I should run one more time and walk-climb to the top using the street view feature again.

Had a quick visit on a month long trip back in ’88, had a stopover in the town on my way from Tokyo to Kyoto via the Shinkansen, really beautiful contryside but it looked like a 2nd rate tourist town… The plastic swans in the lake did not overwhelm the beauty of this place and Mt Fuji lurking in the background. Would love to go back!

Any funds you can forward to me would be welcome to get me back there!
