I would love to one day have an aluminum or CF 3Dprinter.

Functional integrity wasn't sacrificed drilling multiple smaller holes vs. a few big holes. I can pull on the ebrake hard and it feels just as solid as before. Most of that steel is pretty thick

Just added some weight today but hopefully the aero benefits will outweight the gain especially with all the highway driving I do.

Added on the Verus non-aggressive diffuser. With hardware used adds 8.5lbs on the rear

Say its looks great and is sturdy. Fit with my FactionFab ti exhaust. Only thing with mine was the back of the diffuser (toward the front of the car) had to be at full droop to go over the muffler cannisters.






You can see at full droop in the rear air will still be able to get up the inside of the diffuser. So the Verus suspension cover is mandatory in my case. I think ill be making my own very soon.


This aero project is not complete but will be working on ways to smooth the underbody to the diffuser.

New weight up to 2339

Its called SSCO anodized on ebay. I like it very much. Pulling on the handle just feels more positive, even with material removed on my ebrake. The center grippy area can also be removed, believe there are other colors available.

You do have to get your own drift button

Thanks for the link, I imagine it gets warm in the summer being aluminum. I had contacted someone about making a handle from Delrin, but that never panned out.

Is your muffler in the way or the pipe going to the muffler?

My csg mxp catback muffler fit but the pipe to muffler was routed in a way it got in the way so i just cut off some of the diffuser metal in that area. Made no real negative difference but i could now mount diffuser up as high as possible. I think it offers most drag reduction downforce and ground clearance higher up it is.

The roundness of the canisters(mufflers is what would be touching the diffuser. I will be filling in the space from the diffuser up past the gas tank soon. So the diffuser hanging low wont matter as much, although I prefer if it were up higher as well. My concern with it hanging low is air getting trapped above the diffuser, so that space will get filled.

Thanks for the compliment.


The calipers were on rock auto. Search for 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5 Turbocharged (WRX) rear calipers. You have option to get plain, or pay a little more for the Red powdercoated like I did. Part #'s is
CENTRIC 14247525 & CENTRIC 14247526. Looks like they are selling out fast.

Just removed my stock wheels and spacers and put my hypergrams back on. Light wheels definitely make a difference in that instant acceleration

Currently working on the undercar aero to mate up with the rear diffuser. Mainly making smooth panels for the whole underbody. And just got a genuine SARD wing to install. Family situations have slowed progress

Yes your SARD wing may be the last piece of weight I add to this thing but visually will look great and provide some downforce without much drag

took a break from the Apocalypse today to install my genuine SARD wing.

First a few months ago I discoved the Matte finish on my Siebon CF parts was mainly a matte type clearcoat . Underneath revealed a gloss finish. So I wetsanded 2000 grit then compounded my truck to try to match the gloss of the new wing.

Installed - the weave on the Sard is a little bit different but with them being both glossy there isn't much contrast



Did add some weight obviously. Ft86speedfactory list the knockoff sard at 5.5lbs. The wing itself on mine was 5.5, 7.5 with the hardware included



New weight = 2346.5lbs



Next goal is to wetsand/polish the rest of the Carbon on the car, and still working on underbody aero

Any shots of the smooth underbody and how it meets with the rear splitter?

Actually, how about shots of the entire car now that you've put on the SARD wing?
