Silly question but how do you guys know when you're in boost? There's really no way to know unless you have a boost gauge, right?

Stock map can read to about 5.7psi. So if no boost gauge. You can at least tell if your in “boost” just not if your making 6psi or 12psi.

Thanks. Do you happen to know which option it is in Ecutek to see boost from stock MAP sensor? This is all I see and it isn’t it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

ecutek doesn't have Boost
but you can create one with a custom map that subtract the atmosferic pressure from the manifold absolute pressure |

Ecutek map will read max 19.9 and subtract 14.7 atmospheric pressure. But regardless he should be making way more then 5.2psi but will never know without boost gauge. But just to tell if/when your hitting boost map reading 19.9 is good enough to tell you that if thats all you want to know. |

Ah it seems like I have it already. Reads more than 5.1 psi though. It read up to 10 at one point when I was going 8 mph. Seems like the boost is high for how slow I was going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Reread my last post. Subtract 14.7 from that number. It should read 19.9 at WOT. Which is 19.9-14.7= 5.2. Reading 10 - 14.7 = -4.7lbs so under vacuum or negative pressure.

Oh okay. My bad. I read it too quickly. I assumed that EcuTek automatically subtracts 14.7. Ty!!

Getting the car finally dynoed on Monday along with a fuel pump upgrade and port injectors. Current tune is pretty maxed on fuel system and I want safety when out on track. I am hoping I see around 100-125whp more than a stock car on their Dyno. Anyone want to take bets?
