Nameless downpipe combo with helmholtz resonater

Had the black heart catted helmholz resonated front pipe. Then the cat welds broke inside. So I switched to jdl catted resonated. Can’t say a I noticed a big difference. I know they say helmholz are proven to work but in practice it was minor.

This was with jdl catless headers, stock overpipe and q300.

Damn same thing happened to my Hooker Black Heart, The cat inside fell apart. But loved having the Jpipe Helmholtz did work to get rid of buzz

Comp RS is pretty droney to begin with. It's pretty hard to get quieter than the stock front pipe. I went from MXP SP with stock front pipe to JDL ultraquiet catted/resonated front pipe and the sound was pretty much identical to stock. The JDL front pipe did reduce the drone at highway speed for me but I'm not sure how it'll be with a header.

Like I said, I wasn't trying to say it was bad, or ugly, or whatever else. I was simply commenting that it sounds like one of the 500 Honda Civics in my town, in the higher RPMs. Take it for what you want.
Also, I don't know what to really believe. I think exhaust notes don't sound authentic when they are recorded digitally and replayed. Nearly every single exhaust tone I've heard played off of a computer is always just like for me.

Tbh, same for like any intricate sound. Like whenever someone records their engine and tries to hone in on a specific valve tapping or something. Just doesn't sound the same on Youtube as in real life.

I feel the same way about recorded sounds!

Did you send yours back. Mine is just sitting in my shed. Probably should do something with it.

No its been a year or so wasn't sure of any type of warranty. Just going to sell it cheap maybe $100 for someone looking for a fake cat to pass visual inspection.

I think there is a warranty but you have to pay shipping both ways.
