I know where there is a clean, red 85' that has been in storage for over 10 years with a blown head gasket I make the owner an offer every year but he won't budge.

We are all driving the new Corolla, not some cheap FWD knockoff.

No it’s in CA. This guy also has a 78’ Landcruiser in storage.

Ugggh.

Whyyy? Why waste it. If you’re not going to do anything with it just sell it (the owner you’re talking about).

I get it if it’s like a true collector’s car or a classic. OR if there’s some kind of sentimental value to it.

But if you’re just keeping it for no real reason....

Speaking of old 80s/90s JDM cars I’m this ___ close to being tempted to buy or find something while I’m in japan. But I don’t have storage space for a second car, much less a JDM Classic.

Would love to bring back an R33 now that they’re legal. An RX7 would be great too but I wouldn’t be capable of keeping the engine in working order.

hah! No. My '85 was an MR2. Twin sister to this one, all the way down to the black tail on the back. I suspect mine has long been recycled given that when I tearingly gave it up it had 170,000 miles on it, no A/C and was more pink than red.

I dunno He's spent way more then it is worth in storage fees already.

I told him I would fix it, leave it stock and not molest it in any way. I wanted it as a DD.
