Deposit Return

I had ordered at fr-s last week and a half ago and they required $500 down. Yet, I see there is like 30 fr-s within 300 miles. They keep saying it could be 6 to 8 weeks more before we know when it will be here(yet when I put the money down they said it would be a week or so.) If I decide to just say screw it I will just buy one somewhere else. Will they give me a hassle about my deposit?? I didn't even get a reciept for it either, whether it was refundable or not.

deposit is returnable. Didn't you sign that paper where it pretty much says "If you decide to back out, your deposit will be 100% returned"

Some of those FRS that you see are probably on hold for people that ordered. I called about 4 different locations that had FRS in "stock" all told me that they were already sold. At least they were nice enough to tell me so I don't spend 2-3hrs on the road. Make sure you call before you do go.

I wish I had the copy, I can't remember if it said refundable or not. I'll call tomorrow. i just figured there would be no way I would back out. Yet, if I can have a Fr-s or Brz tomorrow then why the hell would I wait 8 weeks if not more.

Probably would be smart to make sure the ones I do see are actually available. Hate having to start the process all over if I had too.

When I ordered mine, they originally asked for $500 but they told me that since I was using a debit card it would only be $250. It took 5 weeks to get mine as all others in the region were spoken for.

The best way to get one is just to order it and try to make it through the agonizing wait :}

Mine was also $500. I didn't have to sign any paperwork. He just gave me an order form with my deposit on there. Both manager that I spoke with told me that it is fully refundable.

If you already have an order down then just wait it out. Collect some cash so that when you do get it, you'll have some money to spend. Mine should be here in 10 days. hopefully.

Just going to say, you are crazy for not taking a receipt for a deposit.

I got a reciept for what I paid. Just a basic credit car reciept . Owell, I called some of the other dealers and all the ones listed are spoken for. I will just wait for mine to come in.
