back in the day, the osram's were impossible to find, and people were paying twice the value to get a pair...

the osram's are significantly higher quality than the TRS bulbs. but if you don't care about quality, then it really doesn't matter. osram's are somewhat of a no-compromise design, the cheaper variants compromised somewhere in the build quality to lower the overall cost

I care about quality but I am more about bang for buck. Are they that much better... To justify the cost.

looking for a glass version of the factory foglights. I remember reading that there was a part number from a previous gen forester that came with them. Any help would be appreciated!

I’m going to upgrade my wife’s Audi Q5. The stock light output of the D3S Philips bulbs is shit for HIDs. My Morimtos are much better, even at 6500k. I was thinking of doing new HID bulbs for the headlights then doing dual LED fog lights. Does anyone have any experience with these types of bulbs? The idea is to have a white fog light and a yellow/amber fog light for when it is actually foggy. I think the low LED bulb will complement the HID by saturating the field up close. I don’t want a LED that disperses light all over and blinds oncoming drivers, so I don’t know if I need to retrofit projectors, and I don’t want it to significantly different in output from the headlights, so it all matches. Does anybody have any ideas?

do you understand how they change modes? they work by you having to turn them off and then back on again to change. in my experience with other products, it generally means that they are mind readers, and half the time, will start in the opposite setting you desire.

if you're concerned about blinding others, with the design of the shallow reflector on the q5, you're best off retrofitting something. i really like my nolden/rostra fog lights for the same reason of foreground lighting, they do have an angled model that might e able to be adapted to the q5 mounting points with some work.

PT41318130AA that might be for a pair but it's a start. It's a Toyota part number.

I intend to eventually to follow instructions from a thread to allow the headlight boomerangs to run at full brightness.

I would like to have the boomerang turn off when the signal on that side is activated. I can build a circuit with a relay to interrupt the boomerang circuit when the signal is on and have the relay continue to be powered during the off period of the signal by using a diode and capacitor to keep the relay pulled in.

However, is there a simple module I can buy that does this?

Thank you for any info you can provide.
