NY: Pineview Run Auto and Country Club

Hey guys. I was just thinking that there are only two twins that frequent my local test track Pineview Run in Lafayette NY and there should be more. Although small and tight, the track is an absolute blast. It is perfect for our cars. The track was built with the idea that members or pass holders only need to give an hour notice to get on the track. This makes it a great place to pick a nice day and dial in suspension/tire temps ect. They are in the process of building an on-site bar and restaurant. The environment and other members make for a fun day. I do some driver coaching and time attack events there. It would be awesome to see some more twins.

I am not affiliated with Pineview, just a happy member trying to spread the word.

I didn't know it was there. Maybe I'll get a chance to stop when I'm up there next year, I should be near there 5 or 6 times between April and October.

A lot of people dont. Pineview has only been around for 2 years. Glad I could shed some light on the track. LMK when you are planning to stop by.

The annual pass is a great deal for those that live somewhat close by. The pass is a subscription like service that allows you to drive on the track with an hours notice. There are also days you can schedule to drive, coaching sessions and open track days.

Here is a few laps in my FRS from the 2019 season Challenge Cup time attack event. Like I said, the track is tight but it is very challenging. It is all about car placement for the next corner.

I am assuming that is your car in your avatar. This might be creepy but do you work at Berkshire bank in East Syracuse?

Assuming your FRS isn't your DD because I haven't seen it around. I've only seen one twin in the immediate area, and it was a 2017+ Oceanic 86.

@Frau86

My FRS has never been my daily but it was on the road until last year. Now it is just a track toy. However the likely hood of you seeing it being towed to the track is very good as my car is stored about a quarter mile away from your work. lol. I always stalk your car on my way to Tractor supply or grab food at Vitos.

Haha that's awesome. I know we have enthusiasts around here but the local groups are so dead. I joined CNY Subies and even that group isn't very active.

Oh well. Maybe I'll see you at the track - I've been casually looking around and gave up because I didn't see anything local. The only thing that might hold me back is me not wanting to look like an idiot never having driven a track before.
